Cheryl Kuhn is an independent training and organizational consultant, who has run her own sales and management consulting business, Tarsus Consulting, since 1997. She has 15 years of executive experience.

Cheryl began her career in pharmaceutical sales and worked her way up from sales positions in the Northeast to spots in human resources and call center management. Ultimately, she became a Sales Director, and had a staff of 55 with responsibility for over $120 million in sales in the Southeastern United States. Cheryl won several individual sales, leadership and team awards while in the pharmaceutical business and all of the teams she led excelled.

Leaving the pharmaceutical field in 1996, Cheryl became head of Sales and Service Management Training and Development at UtiliCorp United (now Aquila), a Fortune 500 utility based in Kansas City. She spent a year there, working with executives, call centers and sales representatives before leaving to pursue a career in consulting. While at Aquila, she expanded the department’s focus and led several executive team building and development sessions.

Today, Cheryl provides consulting and training in a number of disciplines, but sales, team-building and customer service are her specialties.  Her customizable Customer Focused Selling training program has been rolled out to over 500 sales representatives nationwide, with consistently outstanding response and results. As a result of this program and other sales initiatives, she was the first non-employee to receive the Sales Recognition Award for contributions to sales results at UtiliCorp United/Aquila in 2001. Her sales expertise was also tapped by Communico Ltd., a Connecticut based customer-service training company and she consults with them and authored their, “The Magic of Sales” curriculum.

With all of her programs, Cheryl’s specialty is a customized product, designed to meet the specific, unique needs of her clients. She has worked with organizations of all sizes and specialties and guarantees success. Clients include Sprint, Robbie Manufacturing, Iowa Telecom, Pulte Homes, KCP&L and Blue Cross/Blue Shield.
